HBS Technology Innovation Fellowship

Harvard Business School and the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences partnered on a collaborative endeavour to create a cross-disciplinary program that intersects technology and business. Fellows program enables a group of 10-15 Harvard College sophomores and juniors to build knowledge, skills, and a community, putting them on a path to launch and lead innovative endeavors – whether this be creating technology startups or leading innovation teams in governmental or non-profit/social organisations.

As part of the inaugural group of fellows, I had the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of programming.

HBS Startup Bootcamp: Fellows participate in the HBS Startup Bootcamp for MBA candidates, which is taught by HBS faculty. The week-long Bootcamp uses a learning-by-doing approach to build the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as an early-stage entrepreneur. I was part of a team of MBA students, working to build an ESG performance tool.

Business and Innovation Fundamentals Program: A two-day program taught by HBS faculty via the case method.

HBS MBA Electives: I took three HBS MBA case method electives focused on technology management, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Seminars: Monthly seminar sessions featuring case discussions led by faculty, guest and speakers. The seminars included historical and cultural facets of technology and innovation.

SEAS/HBS Showcase: A celebratory event at which Fellows along with graduate students from the MS/MBA: Engineering Sciences program will presented summaries of their summer work.

HBS Online CORe: I completed HBS Online CORe coursework, with its $2,000 fee paid by the program, in the summer of 2020.
