University Rover Challenge

2017 - my freshman year - was the first year Harvard University entered the University Rover Challenge. The competition is to build a full-scale mars rover that can preform four tasks: sample collection and analysis, telemetric control, automatic control and astronaut assistance task.

I joined the team as head of electronics and control systems. Through my freshman and sophomore years I oversaw the sub-team and coordinated with the other teams to create a functional prototype, that was eventually developed to go on to compete.

During my time on the team, I also helped select the Maxon motors and motor controllers, design python wrappers for the C++ Maxon driver code and conducted preliminary integration tests.
