Co-President of the Harvard College Wine Society 2019-20

Organised ten large wine tasting events of over 100 people, featuring presenters from premiere vineyards, such as Chateaux d'Yquem, Beaucastel, and Charles Krug. Led a team of 14 to organise tasks for large and small tastings, including venue negotiation, food preparation, event services procurement and wine pouring. Reached out to vineyards to organise events for upcoming years.

Teaching

From being a teaching fellow for undergraduate electronics for 3 semesters, to giving lessons about biomaterials and the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship exam in secondary school, to teaching English to Chilean children and university students, teaching and mentoring has been a staple of my previous experiences.

Harvard COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT BODY CO-PRESIDENT

Having served as the technology chair, I was elected as Co-president in 2018 with my running partner. Together, we are working to improve the social cohesion of the international student body, promote industry and academic opportunities and improve our position to advocate for international student interests.

Harvard Society of Women in Engineering

Serving as internal outreach chair and later as conference chair, I have been involved in Harvard’s Society of Women in Engineering chapter since 2017. The experience has been very important in both improving my communication skills and more importantly, connecting with an under-represented population in engineering.

Harvard Model United Nations

I am part of the travelling Harvard Intercollegiate MUN team and an Assistant Director for both Harvard's MUN conferences, focusing on international trade and science policy.

Theatre Lighting

Since 2009 I have been involved in theatrical lighting and design, eventually becoming head lighting designer at my secondary school in 2014 and being awarded drama colours. I am continuing this at Harvard.

Peterhouse College Cambridge KELVIN SCIENCE ESSAY PRIZE 2015

I wrote a feasibility analysis of the Hydrogen Economy - where hydrogen replaces gasoline and batteries in vehicles - that looked at the generation, transmission, storage and use of hydrogen at a national level. Awarded runner-up prize.
